Professional Corporations

In order for a corporation to engage in the practice of dentistry in Nova Scotia, it must be registered with the Registry of Joint Stock Companies as well has having a Corporation Permit issued by the NSRDDA. The parameters for Professional Corporations engaged in dentistry are outlined in Part 6 of the NSRDDA Bylaws.

NSRDDA Corporation Permits are renewable annually.

Facility Sedation Permits

A dental clinic must have a Facility Sedation Permit (FSP) for dentists at that clinic to administer sedation. The Facility Sedation Permit level indicates the type(s) of sedation permitted at that clinic by dentists who have the appropriate sedation permits.

Permit Level 1: Nitrous oxide and oxygen

Permit Level 2: Moderate IV and deep sedation as well as Nitrous oxide and oxygen
